Lonergan Partners is pleased to announce that Stephen Ritter has been named Chief Technology Officer at Mitek Systems, Inc. The search was led by Mark Lonergan.
As Chief Technology Officer, Stephen is responsible for driving the technological development of Mitek’s award-winning mobile capture and identity verification solutions and for overseeing Mitek Labs, the company’s computer vision and scientific team.
Prior to joining Mitek, Stephen was SVPEngineering and Research for Emotient (acquired by Apple). Before that, he served as CTO/VPEngineering at Cypher Genomics until it was acquired by Human Longevity Inc. Prior to that, he served as VPEngineering at Websense; Senior Director of Engineering at McAfee; VPEngineering at Preventsys; Principal Architect at Medunite, Inc.; Senior Professional Services Engineer at Persistence Software; Founder and Vice President of Engineering at Orbisys; Software Engineer at Titan Corporation; and Scientific Programmer at the Computational Neurobiology Lab, Salk Institute.
Stephen Ritter holds a BSin Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego. He has co-authored eight patents.
