Perseverence

Definition of perseverance: continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition : the action or condition or an instance of persevering; steadfastness — source, Merriam Webster

As we send this, we pray you and your families are safe and healthy. And protected.

Our country has been overwhelmed by an unprecedented medical epidemic. COVID has killed thousands and sickened hundreds of thousands in our country alone. And despite it all, we are just starting to see a peak in the number of new cases. Some medical professionals are even predicting a fall-off in the epidemic. We are hopeful that we will be through this massive challenge over the next couple of months.

And when it’s all over? What then? Way too early to tell. But already senior business people are starting to ponder the question. How do we maintain the companies that support our economy, that provide jobs to our neighbors and to our children? How will be work to rebuild our national economy, to provide economic support for ourselves and for our nation?

We will see. But I am certain that this time will come. And the people who succeed when we emerge will be those who get back to work with a will. People who return to their shops and their labs and to their offices. The folks who will make it work will be those with optimism. And with a purpose. And with an eye on our future.

    People with perseverance.
